You need to replace your Lost Social Security Card as soon as possible. You can have three cards per year, and ten socoal security cards in a lifetime. This is not including name changes and other amendments. As long as you have not reached your limit, you need to fill out the application form on the official Social Security website. Go Here.
The ink you use needs to be blue or black, and the form must be printed onto 8.5” x 11” paper or A4 paper.
The identification documents you will need in order to replace a lost Social Security Card are:
a U.S. Driver’s License
a State-issued Non-Driver Identity Card or a U.S. passport.
Go to your local Social Security Card Center and submit your application. If you do not know where your nearest Social Security Card Center is, click Here.
After you receive your replacement Social Security card, NEVER carry it around in your purse or wallet - there is no need to do so on a daily basis. Keep it in a safe place in your home. By safe, I of course mean; where a burglar would never find them.
Best of Luck!
