Lost Social Security Card - An Introduction

Replacing your lost social security card could be the least of your worries if you end up having your identity stolen, like I did.

I have become an expert on the subject over the past two years, and once you have found out about it, it takes 15 months on average, to totally recover from identity theft.

However, it can often take over a year for a victim to even realise it has happened.

The thieves will not necessarily use your existing credit cards and account, but they will apply for new accounts and credit cards in your name. Then you have to stop the problem from escalating further, as well as having the delightful task of trying to clear your name.

I always thought this sort of thing happened to someone else, but it happened to me. It was a huge nightmare for me and I am determined to educate people about this.
